Our Team - Raul Galarza

Raul is a higher education senior executive, innovator, change champion, and professor and has held various leadership positions in enrollment management, marketing, and academic operations over the past 30 years. He has a strong commitment to developing global learning experiences, beginning with his leadership in international student clubs, new and continuing student enrollment support in the biological sciences and related STEM fields during his bachelor’s degree studies, in the design of an innovative academic advising model in his master’s degree thesis, and in his doctoral research dissertation on Hispanic/Latino student interventions leading to greater student access, retention, and satisfaction in an online university setting.

He has served as vice president of enrollment management and marketing at Excelsior University in Albany, NY, as well as at Cambridge College in Boston, MA, and as assistant vice president of enrollment management at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He has also served as chief new and continuing student enrollment officer and university registrar at Nexford University (an international competency-based fully online undergraduate and graduate degree institution) and led a large team of admissions, transcript/transfer credit evaluation, and student service operations professionals at Southern New Hampshire University. Raul has also served as dean of students and academic advising innovation designer at Capella University. His broad and student-centered experiences in leading higher education institutions and across all student support services strengthens our community and focus on student development at Students Care.
